I started my weight loss journey in early 2020 weeks before COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. At the time, I was almost 230 pounds, the heaviest I had been in my life, and I knew that if I didn’t do something soon I would weigh 250 pounds or more. By the end of 2020, I had lost 13 pounds by eating healthy and exercising more frequently.
When I joined Walter’s 42 Day Challenge in early 2021, it had been more than four months since I had lost any weight and I didn’t have much hope that I would lose any more weight. The 42 Day Challenge and more importantly, the accountability Walter held me to, jumpstarted my weight loss journey. By no means has this been an easy journey.
There were days I wanted to give up and days when stress (unhealthy) eating was at an all-time high! Walter simply guided me back to where I needed to be and helped me reprioritize my health. In August 2021, I suffered multiple tendon tears in my ankle placing my left foot in a boot for over 90 days, limiting my ability to
fully participate in virtual bootcamps, exercise and take my daily walks.
With Walter’s support, I was able to still participate in virtual bootcamp sessions and found ways to adapt the exercises to ensure I stayed on track with my weight loss journey. Between the virtual workouts, weekly coaching calls, meal plans, and the 42 Day Challenges, my weight loss journey continues, and I am now under 200 pounds.
To date, I have lost more than 20 pounds and the journey continues to my goal weight. I have seen changes in how my clothes fit because of the inches lost. My body fat is down a little over 5% and my overall health has improved. My daughter tells me I now look skinny, and I love that my hard work is showing! I am glad to have found Walter Lewis Fitness Solutions when I did!
