Virtual Training and Boot Camp Helped Me Lose 20 Pounds

I found out about Walter’s program through a friend who looks amazing. I was like “Girl what are you doing?” She told me she had a personal trainer. I thought about it, and asked her to give me his information. I had been thinking about using a trainer for awhile, since I had been unsuccessful of getting in-shape on my own.

I started the journey participating in Walter’s Virtual Weight Loss Program and Boot Camp at the end of July 2017. I’ve lost 20 lbs thus far. But, the journey doesn’t stop there. Walter has these online virtual workout programs that you follow independently and make you accountable. 

He sets up meals plans for you along with one-on-one coaching calls. Also he provides the group motivation calls. On Sundays, a small group of us meet for his boot camp. All of Walter’s programs and support have helped me stay on a successful path of losing the weight and living a healthier lifestyle.

Thank you Walter for all you’ve done. I am going to continue on this journey. I’m just so forever grateful!

Prolonging My Life to Raise My Grandson

I am a 71 year old grandfather, and raising a 14 year old grandson who is active in Boy Scout.  I have a history of a pacemaker in 2000, and quadruple by-pass in 2005. Before I joined Merritt and Walter’s Weight Loss Warrior program, I weighed about 220 lbs and had low endurance and strength. My balance seemed to be getting worse too. I needed to get in shape for a Boy Scout trip to Canada for canoeing, hiking, camping, and fishing. I needed to hopefully prolong my life to raise my grandson.

I lost two sons and a daughter-in-law to drug overdose. My grandson Joe didn’t need to lose anyone else in his life. I needed to be able to pass the swimming test for the Boy Scout trip to which I haven’t in two years.

I saw Walter’s sign for joining the Weigh Loss Warrior program, and decided to try it out. It was just what I needed. Walter displayed caring and understanding when leading his sessions. He was able to adapt the activities to each individual depending on their unique situation.

At first, I was not able to perform too many sit-ups, and couldn’t lift more than 5-10 lbs comfortably. I had poor running endurance, and walked most of the time. Since June 2017, I have lost about 25 lbs.

I passed the swimming test and I survived the trip to the Canadian wilderness. We canoed over 50 miles between lakes carrying heavy backpacks and canoes over rocky muddy up-hill terrain.

At the present, I am continuing the Weight Loss Warrior Program. My original goal was to weigh 190 lbs which I am fast approaching. I am continuing to build strength, endurance, and maintain a healthy diet. Here’s to a longer healthier life. Thanks Walter! Sincerely Glenn.

My First 5K

I had a month before my first 5K race and had not ran more than a mile for years. I didn’t know where to begin. And I hated running.
 

That is where Walter came in. The first time we ran together I had to stop after 2.37 miles which took me 30+ minutes to do. I was exhausted and discouraged. Even though I had a lot of work to do, Walter had faith that I could reach my goal of running the 5K and he even thought I could run it well. For the next 4 weeks, Walter provided me with a training plan and supported me through it. I went from hating to run to running in the rain. I finished the race  in under 27 minutes and didn’t take one break. I accomplished my goal. Thanks Walter for the constant support and encouragement! You made it feel easy. And I have continued to run post-race, which I never thought would happen! 

 

I Can’t Believe I Can Run Without Stopping

If anyone would have told me 6 months ago that I would be running two 5k races in September and that I would be in the best physical shape of my life at age 46, I wouldn’t have believed them! I’ve struggled with my weight for my entire life. I’ve had success on various diets, but never achieved the level of fitness and ideal weight that I desired. I exercised on a regular basis, but still had low energy and poor endurance. Training with Walter for the past several months has changed all of that. I exercised on a regular basis, but still had low energy and poor endurance. Training with Walter for the past several months has changed all of that. Not only have I reached my goal weight, but my body is more tone and fit, I have gone down several clothing sizes, and I now have the endurance to run 4+ miles at a steady pace without stopping…a HUGE success for me! I look forward to Walter’s classes every week, and enjoy working out more than I ever have. His expertise, encouragement, and amazing workouts motivate me to work hard and, in turn, get the results I wanted.

Over the summer, I pulled both of my quad muscles sprinting. I was devastated. Walter checked on me constantly to see how I was doing, reminded me to keep icing and resting, and helped me safely workout until I recovered. A HUGE THANK YOU to Walter for helping me become the best “ME” I can possibly be!

Although My Diet Hasn’t Been Perfect, I Still See Results

Like many people, I initially found the motivation and drive to lose the first few pounds in my weight loss journey on my own. However, my goal attainment was short lived, and I quickly was at a plateau. For the next several months, I attempted to work out three times a week, eat clean, and do as many of the “right things” as possible, but wasn’t seeing changes in my body. This left me frustrated and ready to give up. Two family members that had worked with Walter (with amazing results), suggested I reach out to him. After working with Walter for a few sessions, not only was I feeling and seeing results, but I was motivated again to push towards my goals. 

After working with Walter over the past five months, I have not only seen physical changes, but changes in my motivation as well. I am leaner, stronger, more defined and have lost inches all over. I’ve learned alot from him. He has taught me the importance of cardio and compound exercises and how to fuel my body with the right nutritious foods before and after a workout. And I love the workouts, though they are tough!  Walter has motivated me to dedicate myself to eating clean and healthy; my biggest struggle, but I’m working on it :)

Probably the most important change I’ve seen with Walter is an increase in my cardiovascular endurance and stamina. Five months ago, I never would have even attempted to run the steep 2 mile hill in my neighborhood. These days, I run it twice a week. A HUGE accomplishment for me! 

Walter has taught me to train with an intensity I didn’t know I had, whether I’m working out with him or on my own. I train with Walter because I see results.  There are still a few pounds I’d like to shed. I’d like to be better about my diet and increase my endurance and stamina even more. So, while I haven’t achieved all my fitness goals just yet, I know that if I continue to follow Walter’s lead, I can get there.
